Registration

 Many of our courses are open enrolment, meaning all you need to do is create an account and register. You must be able to speak, comprehend, and write fluently in English to ensure success in your chosen courses and programs. As a result, you may be required to submit official English Language test results as follows: 

  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) minimum overall band score of 6.5 with no individual score less than 6.0 
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) overall score: 90 with a minimum score of 22 in reading and listening, 21 in writing and speaking

Certificate Programs

Behavioural Insights Certificate 

You are required to complete an online application for the Behavioural Insights certificate program. The creation of a profile is not required to submit your application. Successful applicants will be given registration instructions at time of acceptance. 

Project Management Bootcamp 

Participants in the Project Management Bootcamp program are expected to have a minimum of three years work experience, preferably in a management role. You may be asked to provide information with regard to previous work experience prior to registration. 

All other certificates 

You can register for all other certificate programs on a course-by-course basis and complete the program at your convenience within two years from the start date of your first course. You are welcome to enrol in more than one certificate at a time. 

UBC Sauder Professional Growth offers different delivery styles to fit your learning needs. Some courses are taught in multiple delivery styles while others are delivered in one only. 

 

In-person In-person sessions held at UBC Robson Square in Downtown Vancouver. 
Blended A blend of in-person instructor-led sessions and live online class activities, combined with self-paced learning. 
Live Online Real-time instructor-led interactions through scheduled live online sessions, combined with self-paced learning. 
Online Self-paced learning following a pre-scheduled assessment timeline including opportunities to collaborate with instructors and classmates in real-time. 

What to Expect

Technology requirements

A PC or Mac computer or tablet installed with a reliable internet connection and an up-to-date browser is required for all courses. For live online courses, it is beneficial to have a microphone and webcam, but you can participate using the chat feature if that’s all you have. You need to ensure your microphone and camera permissions are set to allow access to the online learning management platforms. 

How to get started with Online Learning

If you are enrolled in any type of online course, a welcome email with instructions on how to access the online Learning Management System (Moodle) will be sent to all registered student by 4pm PST on the course's start date. All your course information including course outlines, curriculum, and detailed assessment schedule will be found in Moodle.

The first time you log in you will be asked to create a new password, using the password reset feature.  UBC will never ask you for this password. 

Course Cancellations and Refund Policy

We understand that circumstances may change. Our cancellation and transfer policy provides flexibility and transparency while helping us maintain the quality and consistency of our professional programs.

0-10 Business Days Before the Course or Program Start Date

Cancellations made within 10 business days of the course start date are non-refundable and non-transferable.

11-20 Business Days Before the Course or Program Start Date

If you cancel 11 to 20 business days before the start date, you may transfer your registration to another course or program.

  • If the new course or program is of lower value, a 5% administrative fee will apply to any refund or the difference.
  • If the new course or program is of higher value, you will be required to pay the balance in accordance with our payment policy.

21 or More Business Days Before the Course or Program Start Date

Cancellations made 21 or more business days before the start date are eligible for either a transfer or a full refund, subject to a 5% administrative fee.

Payment Policy

Full payment is required at least five (5) business days before the course or program start date. After this date, any partial payment will not be refunded.
