Agile Business Analysis

Applies to Certificate

This course introduces the principles and practices of Agile and explores how Business Analysis works within an Agile environment. Gain a solid grounding in Agile terminology, frameworks, and planning approaches, and learn how to apply them in both product development and business stakeholder contexts. Understand the concept of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and how it shapes Agile iterations. Explore the Scrum framework in depth — including team roles, responsibilities, and ceremonies — and develop the skills to write and prepare user stories for development. Through a hands-on group project structured around two Sprints, you will experience the Agile process firsthand and leave with practical tools you can immediately apply in your organization.

This course is ideal for:
  • Business Analysts looking to understand and apply Agile and Scrum practices in their work
  • Product Managers and Product Owners seeking a stronger foundation in Agile planning and delivery frameworks
  • Project Managers transitioning from traditional (waterfall) to Agile delivery environments
  • IT and technology professionals working within or alongside Agile development teams
  • Scrum team members wanting a more comprehensive understanding of Agile roles, ceremonies, and artifacts
  • Managers and team leads responsible for adopting or scaling Agile practices within their organizations
  • Professionals preparing for Agile or Scrum-related certifications
  • Communicate fluently in Agile and Scrum terminology across both technical and business stakeholder environments
  • Apply a range of Agile planning approaches to structure projects that are adaptive, stakeholder-aligned, and fundable
  • Define and refine a Minimum Viable Product to focus effort on what matters most to the customer
  • Write clear, well-structured user stories that effectively guide development teams
  • Navigate the Scrum framework with confidence, understanding the roles, responsibilities, and ceremonies involved
  • Collaborate more effectively within cross-functional Agile teams across Sprints and iterations
  • Use decomposition techniques to prioritize product components and manage delivery incrementally
  • Establish clear definitions of "done" to keep projects on track and stakeholders aligned
  • Manage your own workload and participation flexibly, modelling the self-organization that Agile promotes
Impact on your organization, team or business:
  • Build Agile fluency across BA, PM, and product roles, strengthening the organization's ability to respond rapidly to market and technology changes
  • Improve cross-functional collaboration between business stakeholders and development teams through shared Agile language and practices
